EP89 - "Feelings over Red Flags"

A red flag is when something indicates or draws attention to a problem, danger, or irregularity.  A red flag also represents a warning signal or sign.  When you see red flags in a relationship, what actions do you normally take?  Have you ever been in a situation where you have seen red flags from your significant other, but decided to overlook them?  Some of those red flags could be...controlling behavior...lack of communication...secretive past...lack of trust...
I mean the list could go on and on!
In this episode, Ralph and Touly discuss red flags they've experienced prior to each other as well as in their relationship.  Listen in to find out those red flags, why were they avoided, and what they learned when avoiding the inevitable.

EP88 - "Not addressing the issues"

EP88 - "Not addressing the issues"

Some issues are not easy to answer, nor are they easy  to accept.  While it may seem, at the time, like not addressing the issue is the best action, it is actually an abandonment of reason and honest inquiry. What if not addressing the issue has them show up in the form of something else?!?!
In this episode, Ralph and Touly discuss situations in their marriage where they didn't address issues, but they still ended up showing up, just in a different format, creating more damage than originally expected.

My New Adopted Big Bro and Sis

I’ve never been hip to podcasts until I stumbled across In the Trenches. My attention span is a bit all over the place so the fact that I can listen to their episodes from beginning to end = A+! I am not married (yet!) so I really appreciate the diverse perspectives from all walks of life on this show. I also admire how this couple is positively reshaping the master narrative of Black love and relationships. Dr. Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, you do better.” This dynamic duo is making we have the tools to know better! I didn’t know them prior to listening but now they’re my adopted family. Lol. They are also very welcoming of feedback and follow-up questions. Ok, now go listen! ❤️

Very Entertaining and REAL

Loving this podcast! These two don’t sugarcoat any of the real issues married couples face. I appreciate the transparency and their humorous delivery!
