#329 – Dean Blunt, Maarja Nuut, Dark Mark (Mark Lanegan), Los Pirañas, Aaron Dilloway & Lucrecia Dalt, Thank - 14 June 2021
Extraordinary experimentation throughout this episode of the Independent Music Podcast. We move in all sorts of directions, from the esoteric ambient sounds from Estonia’s Maarja Nuut, to kerosene tank brass cumbia from Los Pirañas, to funk-tinged gnarly noise from Leeds’ Thank.
Elsewhere, we have the latest from Mark Lanegan’s Dark Mark moniker, Indonesia synth experiments, Japanese avant-garde electronics, the latest collaboration between Aaron Dilloway and Lucrecia Dalt, and much more.

Right on time
A breath of fresh air. Just stumbled upon this today and I’m very impressed with the taste and quality of music. I’ve never heard any of this stuff! Wow
Amazing, Unique Show
I’ve yet to find any other radio show, podcast, playlist or streaming algorithm that does as well capturing the spirit of the thing. Independent Music Podcast is not limited by genre (far from it) or any other classification. Rather, it is a weekly deep dive into brand new music that just has “it”. Strongly recommended.
Brilliant!
Totally smashing pod. Gareth & Anthony are terrific and their selections are endlessly surprising and fascinating. Hardly a better place to dig up tunes from the outer reaches of the music-making world - six stars out of five!!
