Y5E07 - Starbase Indy with Lisa and Mark

    Happy Friday, my friends!
Welcome back to the Indiana Geeking Podcast! This month, we're sitting down to talk to Lisa and Mark from the local convention, Starbase Indy! We're talking about some of the cool things that are happening this year, in addition to a really awesome announcement that hadn't gone up on any of their social media feeds, yet! This is also the second time Lisa has been on the podcast talking Starbase Indy, so we'll call back to that episode (link) more than once.
So, replicate yourself a Raktajino, sit back, and let us fill your ear holes for the next thirty minutes and change.

    Y5E06 - The World of Tele'Thala

    Happy Friday, my friends!
Welcome back to the Indiana Geeking Podcast! This month, we're still looking at gaming, because I'm still feeling Gen Con, but instead of cards, we're looking at table top role playing games! Specifically, we're looking at a locally created source book for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition! The World of Tele'Thala is a world, compatible with D&D 5E, that was created by Jared Bartels, with art and layout design by Mike Ficarra, for Courser's Folly Entertainment. These two sat down with me at the Geek Cave Studios, pet my dogs, and talked with me about their work, answered some questions from users of the Geeking in Indiana Discord, and generally just had a good conversation with me.
So settle in, grab a nice cup of tea, and listen to us all talk D&D for about fifty minutes! Added bonus: Scroll to the bottom of the blog post for information about the contest mentioned in the podcast!

    Y5E05 - M:TG '19 Update, Part Two

    Happy Friday, my friends!
We are back with another Magic: The Gathering episode of the Indiana Geeking Podcast! This one is a bit longer, but we had a lot of stuff to go over to bring you all up to date on everything Magic happening from the beginning of 2019, all the way up to the recently released MTG 2020 Core Set. Not only do we have that information, but Jarred and TJ also cracked open a prerelease box (see photos at bottom of the post) and did some talking about how to draft a deck. In addition, after the episodes were recorded, we wanted to give you all some additional resources, so look for those down in the show notes.
Now, I want to warn you all, this episode is over two hours. Jarred and TJ had a lot of information, and even after a couple of listens, I didn't have much to cut past some of my "witty" remarks. So, tuck in, and get ready to listen to all things Magic: The Gathering, thanks to these two fantastic gentlemen! If you're looking for specific expansion information, everything is broken down in the time stamps below!

    Y5E04 - M:TG '19 Update, Part One

    Happy Friday, my friends!
The Indiana Geeking Podcast is back, with an episode that I know at least four people look forward to every year! That's right, it's the yearly Magic: The Gathering episode! Joining me at Geek Cave Studios are my friends Jarred Juett and TJ Zmina to talk about what has happened on the M:TG scene since their last visit in June of 2018. To continue with the trend started last year, this episode is the first part of a two-part series! Knowing how these two talk, I went ahead and did part one covering the releases through the remainder of 2018, and next month we'll talk about everything released up until M:TG 20.
So, sit back, sort some cards, and let these guys bring you up to date for the next hour and sixteen minutes!

    Y5E02 - Midwest RepRap Fest 2019

    Y5E02 - Midwest RepRap Fest 2019

Happy Friday, my friends! We're back with the second episode of the Indiana Geeking Podcast, the podcast where we focus on Hoosier-based creators and events!
This month, Lizz and I took a trip to one of the top 3D Printing events, the Midwest RepRap Festival. Held in Goshen, it brought in makers from across the world to show off their work, their machines, and eat tacos. As we were looking around, and preparing to start our own journey into 3D printing (more on that next week), we found some folks from here in Indiana that we wanted to talk Hoosier business with. Luckily, I had the trusty old Zoom H1 with me, so I was able to get some interviews with some folks in northern Indiana who make 3D Printers, filament, and use all of this to make their own props and costumes!
So, without further ado, join me as I give you some top events for the month of April, then jump into a series of short interviews with some of the local folks tabling at MRRF! Don't worry, this one's only about 45 minutes long! NOTE: You can find the Facebook Photo Album with the photos we took at this link.

Trae Dorn ,

One of the best podcasts in Indiana

Look, if you live in Indiana and you’re a geek, you should be listening to this show. Besides being the best way to know what’s going on in the Indiana nerd-scene, Bri and Tony’s interactions are just plain hilarious. I never miss it, and you shouldn’t either.

Love the Show

Tony hosts a great show, and I also enjoy the blog element as well. He's funny and informative (I learn a lot, being not much of a 'geek') and I find myself listening to the shows over and over. Just a great all around production. Keep up the great work!
