INSIDE STORIES 40: The 18.5-minute gap in the Nixon tapes

INSIDE STORIES 40: The 18.5-minute gap in the Nixon tapes

Here is the solution to one of the great political mysteries of the past 50 years, and an explosive confession by the late President Richard M. Nixon.
Thanks to advances in technology, audio experts have at last reconstructed the contents of the so-called "18.5-minute gap," a period of silence on tapes made by President Nixon. Other parts of the tapes had incriminating evidence connecting Nixon to the Watergate break-in, but the contents of the gap have remained unknown -- until now.
Featuring Anthony Newfield and Paul VanDeCarr.

INSIDE STORIES 39: The Hill Cumorah Pageant, stories from the Book of Mormon

The Hill Cumorah Pageant is performed over several nights every July in Palmyra, New York, at the very site where Mormons believe that Joseph Smith found the tablets upon which were written the Book of Mormon. With a cast of over 650 people, elaborate special effects, and a 10-level stage, the pageant dramatizes stories from the Book for Mormon. I spoke with several cast and crew before a performance in 2015. More info and pictures at www.InsideStoriesOnline.com.

I visited a NYC-based center for cross-dressers to ask members how much they think things have changed for them between 1962 and today.

good podcast about storytelling!

Good stuff. I'm a big reader, and am eager to hear more interviews with authors. Still, this podcast really has a broad view of what storytelling is, and that's exciting. It has expanded my horizons in that way. This is more behind-the-scenes about storytelling, but also includes some actual stories.

Excellent podcast!

The narrator of these podcasts has a very calm and relaxed style that seems to bring out the best in the folks with whom he speaks. There is great variety among the topics he covers and his take on the areas on which he reports is quite unusual. I love listening to stories and these stories about stories are terrific.
