4’s not envious of material goods
I’m listening to the podcast about the Enneagram and feel like she has the 4 all wrong. The guest is assuming that the envy of the 4 is about personal belongings or material goods relating their acquisition to the 4’s being more special and standing out, when everything I have read and heard describes the sin of 4’s as envy of another’s way in the world. Because 4’s tend to long for belonging, it is more about characteristics that others possess that 4’s envy and not material goods. I am a 4, and rarely am I ever jealous of material belongings.
I just listened to my first "Get Control of Your Life" podcast entitled "The Art of breathing" and loved it!! I can't wait to hear more about Dr Seaman's groundbreaking work in part 2. Thank you Dr. Deb for putting together this podcast. What a wealth of information! I am looking forward to future episodes and am planning to go back to listen to past episodes to see what I have missed.
