In today’s episode, I interview Grace Montes who is one of the Co-founders and Psychotherapist at Arbor Counseling Centers, which is Private Practice in Westfield, NJ. Grace and her partner, Cynthia Vanadium opened Arbor Counseling Centers in May 2019 with the goal to provide individuals with quality professional counseling services that embody the core values of integrity, autonomy, and effectiveness. Grace is passionate about educating on the importance of emotional and mental health wellness.
She specializes in working with women struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Grace has been working in the field of Mental Health since 2007 and has experience in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, traumatic reactions and sexual assault. Grace received her Masters in Counseling Psychology from College of Saint Elizabeth in 2012.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. Previous Types of Jobs include: In-Home Mentoring services in Hudson County, Trinitas Child/Adolescent Outpatient Services, Rahway Franklin Elementary as a School Based Counselor, High Focus Centers- Partial/IOP Acute Psychiatric Services Adolescent & Adult Units as a Therapist, Quality Management Specialist, and Clinical Supervisor.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, watching movies, reading, and spending time with her boyfriend, family and friends.
