INTRODUCING DiasPOR_US

DiasPOR_US is a play on the word Diaspora, and a place for play amongst artist from and throughout the African Diaspora. The original project concept was a live immersive visual arts installation that went virtual in 2020 during the pandemic. Artists were photographed, filmed and highlighted in their artistic element. Fast forward to 2024. In a post pandemic world that is ridden with backlash, doxxing and erasure in the face of resistance. DiasPOR_US was born from a commitment to allow WE/THEM the artists of the diaspora to tell THEIR stories. Monthly episodes will capture conversations between host Megan Curet and radical, trailblazing contemporary artists on various topics impacting our communities. This is no space for white washing, this is a space for reclamation and LONG overdue space taking. Let the conversations begin…
