Four Ms Checklist: Management Analysis Part 4

Four Ms Checklist: Management Analysis Part 4

Management is one of the key factors to consider when looking for companies to purchase, and that involves analyzing the CEO’s compensation. You must understand how management gets compensated, and know that they are getting paid for building a better company—not for having a better stock price. This week on InvestED, Phil and Danielle discuss why it’s important for CEOs to get compensated for having low debt, high free cash flow, high owner earnings, and expanding the moat to protect against competition.

Frustrating

Danielle did you write invested or did Phil? Super frustrating when you are arguing with Phil about maintenance cap exp for an entire episode when you convinced me that you knew what it was in your book. This is one of many examples as y’all are reviewing the checklist

What phenomenal hosts

I’ve recently started listening from the beginning, and what a perfect duo. These are two brilliantly intelligent and knowledgeable people from two different areas of expertise and facets of life coming together over the beautiful concept of a father teaching his daughter about his passion for investing, which invites both incites from a world renowned investor and the simple questions of a curious beginner who knows little about investing making this perfect for both types of listeners and all of those in between.

I have high regards and greatly admire the both of them. They’re happy, successful, goofy, and provide excellent banter. Extremely enjoyable.
