How To Pay Off Debt to Raise Solid Financial Foundation with Megan Lamke

Working full-time as a marketing executive at several fast growing technology companies, Megan and her husband Darik decided to house hack by purchasing their first home and had several professional rugby teammates rent out the extra rooms. They also decided to implement the BRRRR strategy by getting their same roommates to help her renovate the home while they were all living in it. At the same time Megan and Darik got passionate about getting out of debt and went through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class. Megan and Darik paid off $535,000+ in debt including $188,000 in student loans, their mortgage and their HELOC in just over 4 years. After the renovations were completed their home had doubled in value, so they decided to sell it and use the profits to invest in multifamily real estate syndications. Megan was able to step away from her executive marketing job to pursue real estate full time as a licensed realtor, passive investor and multifamily syndicator.

Megan now owns 378+ units throughout the United States. Since they focused on getting out of debt first, Megan and Darik are able to ‘live and give like no one else.’

Megan now has the freedom as a realtor and investor to give 50% of the net profits from every real estate transaction to Venture.org and Feed My Starving Children, organizations that help some of the least reached, least resourced children become future Christian leaders

Amazing interviews with relevant contents to current time

I learned about Goodeggs from another podcasts and now I am a fan. I trust Annie and Julie. They know the challenges of working mom with young children and understand how important to have financial freedom and more time with family. I gained a lot of insights and ideas from the shows. Keep up the good work!

Good Content, Great Mission

I have been investing with Goodegg since mid-2019, and it is great to see Annie and Julie take their mission one step further with the launch of this podcast show. It’s great to learn about ways to chip away at our dependence on a 9-to-5 job. The conversations on the show also help listeners break from this notion that the life we should aspire to is one where we work 40 hours a week for 40 years and then retire on a beach somewhere.

So far, my favorite episodes are the ones with Michael Zuber, M.C. Laubscher and Ryan D. Lee, and their latest with Sharon Tseung was kind of mind-blowing as well.

Keep up the good work ladies. I look forward to what you have in store for us next!
