Insomnia Radio #185: Modern Retro Revival

That RSS feed stirs to life and shakes the dust off its shoulders. A show starts downloading in your podcatcher. Hey, wait, that logo looks familiar. That voice sounds familiar! That’s right, gang! Jason Evangelho, creator and founder of Insomnia Radio, one of the original indie music podcasts, is back on the mic to deliver the best music you’ve never heard!

And we’re just getting warmed up!

This episode of awesome indie music invokes a retro fondness, whether it’s Gunship pulling you back into the 80s with their synthwave stylings, or Temples yanking you back to the 60s with their jangly guitars and reverb-laden melodies and instrumentation.

Way above the bar

Tim and Don constantly surprise me. Because they've been best friends for years, their interaction is always entertaining. Not only are the hosting duties superb, but they, without fail, always offer up the best music from Baltimore, MD. And they're not afraid to dip into hip-hop, blues, and metal.

Bottom line: If there's stellar music in Baltimore, they're going to track it down and feed it to your ears.

Baltimore has a great music scene

Not everyone knows it, but Baltimore has an awsome music scene, and these guys, Tim and Don, share it with you. Not only do they play music from Baltimore, they play music from Washington DC and Annapolis too. Check out the other Insomnia Radio shows too. Each city has its own personality, so you will never be bored.
