The disciples get a bad wrap for not being able to cast a demon from a boy. Jesus asks the question, "How long must I put up with such a perverse and unbelieving generation". But I don't think it's the disciples he's referring to when he asks that question. This account actually reveals the incredible growth and movement towards their proper understanding of their place within God's Kingdom and bringing that Kingdom out of heaven and into the earth.
