History, as taught in schools and colleges, often reduces it to mere dates and events. However, history is much beyond those dates and names and events. History is essentially a story. A story of mankind. A story of us. When we think of history in this way, we realize that it can be interesting and engaging. Itihaas- the Indian History Podcast attempts to do precisely this.
Moreover, history is not only political. It goes beyond nations, rise and fall of kingdoms. Every other area in this world has history. Right from history of science, history of brands, history of cinema, history of food and so on. Itihaas aims to deal with all this eventually, with necessary subject experts getting featured in a podcast.
Only, Itihaas focuses on all this from an Indian perspective. Things that happened in India, people who were from India, stories of India and Indians.
Through various seasons, different themes will be discussed upon.

Itihaas explores history bit by bit, one podcast at a time.
Itihaas tries to make history cool.
Itihaas hopes that we start listening to it, as OUR story.

Good light overview - need to improve sound

Topics are quite high level, not delving deep, if you want a quick history of India, focusing mostly from 1947, some episodes focused on cultural issues, so not entirely historical. Some episodes sound quality recording make it hard to understand discussion, good idea to invest in good equipment.

A treasure trove with engrossing nuggets of historical information

Highly recommend this one-of-a-kind podcast on India's rich history. The episodes also cover often overlooked aspects of recent history. They are presented in a way that truly engages the listener's attention.

Unique topics, covered engagingly

While the name might give an impression of this podcast being about the freedom struggle, it's actually about the history of the post independence India! The episodes are a bit short but crafted to engage and inform. Highly recommend subscribing.
