Co-Parenting During Times of Chaos with Latoya Nelson It's All Mental

    • Mental Health

In this week’s episode I sit down with Latoya Nelson who works with divorced parents and helps them overcome the baggage from a divorce as well as teaches them how to co-parent and work together in that regard.  We talk about why it’s more important than ever to work as a team to co-parent during times of chaos such as we are experiencing right now.
Our initial reaction is often to keep the fears and worries to ourselves and our children see the outward expression of this worry and fear.  Instead we talk about how important it is to talk to your children about what is going on, to admit that you may not know all the answers but that you are working through it, and that you are committed to your children’s safety regardless of whether the situation is uncertain.  Children don’t need to think we have all the answers but they need us to provide enough information for them to be assured.
