    Ep. 3 - Gerold Oliver

    Ep. 3 - Gerold Oliver

We sat down with actor Gerold Oliver and discussed things from taking the leap into acting while in college, to community theatre, to his most memorable theatre moment with a fan after progressing to professional theatre.Gerold knew all his life that he wanted to be performative, he just hadn’t quite figured out how to find true love for the things he was doing. In college is where that performance hunger truly manifested, and in taking a Drama class he realized that acting was his true passion. Since then he has worked hard to progress into “going professional”, which he has since accomplished. This is not as easy as you would think, as Gerold explains, but once achieved there is a level of professionalism local community theatre actors may not be aware exists.

    Ep. 2 - Emily Summer

    Ep. 2 - Emily Summer

We got the chance to sit down with singer/songwriter and actress Emily Summers. Emily started writing music when she was just 12 years old. While she says her earlier songs are not ones she would play for a crowd today, she kept learning and kept writing and even went to Belmont University to get a bachelor’s degree in songwriting. It definitely paid off, as her songs have a way of drawing you in with her voice shining in the most subtle of ways. She has performed in musical theatre for over a decade, landing her first lead role as Elizabeth Vaughan in the musical If/Then, and then went on to play Janet Weiss in the musical version of Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you have heard her voice on stage then you know she has a special gift, and we were lucky enough to get a live performance of her single “Road to Livingston” from her EP titled “Evening”, which you can hear on our upcoming Episode this Tuesday. You can find her music on Apple Music and on Spotify, or by visiting her socials at Emily Summers Music on Facebook and @emilysummersmusic on Instagram. Ep. 1 - JDW and EKD

Ep. 1 - JDW and EKD

In this introduction episode JDW and EKD interview each other to set the precedence of how the flow of future episodes will go. They discuss the podcast's Mission Statement, their personal experiences in the entertainment industry thus far, and they each answer questions designed to be the basic roadmap for future episodes . These questions may not always come up, as we take a somewhat intimate approach with our guests and things may deviate. And hey, that's ok. There may also be a few F-Bombs here and there. This episode in particular is a bit long, so feel free to pause and go on about life and then come back whenever you're ready.
