My favorite music podcast ,

My favorite music podcast

I've been listening to jam music for decades and, while I love the spacy jams, a lot of listeners could benefit from knowing what other artists are out there. That is where Jam Session comes in - a huge variety of music. You can here old 90s faves like String Cheese or Gov't Mule or be intoduced to sax freaks like Moon Hooch. You can hear MMW and CATS in the same episodes. I discovered Jam Session because they play small up and comers like my fab improv band tomatoband, but I have stuck around for the new music and the themes of the week. Highly recommended!

B.Frizz ,

Just ok

Not bad choices in music but not what I was expecting when discovering this podcast. A lot of indie music is played and it makes me wonder if the host is more into the indie genre and trying to cross over into the jam scene. It’s obvious he is partial to Dangermuffin, but makes up for it with the few jams dispersed throughout the episodes.

Mr Burns, Excellent ,

Used to be better

It is obvious the new host doesn’t know what a jam band is - now it is a constant overload of indie/pop crap with the same ~10 bands every week. I am starved for quality jam band podcasts, and while I thoroughly enjoyed this one with the old host (who DID know jam band music), it has devolved quickly into something completely different. Because of this, I unsubscribed from the podcast and don’t plan to listen again.
