One of LA’s best-kept musical songwriting secrets for over two decades — collaborating with greats like Sondre Lerche, Jim James, Moby, Sarah and Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek), and Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco) — Jamie Drake has all the while been carefully honing her craft and redefining herself as an artist.

Singles from Jamie’s 2019 breakout album, such as “Everything’s Fine,” “Wonder,” and “Redwood Tree”, surpassed over 20M streams on Spotify and brought in critical acclaim from NPR Music, Talkhouse, and more, plus public praise from a flurry of famous fans (like Ed Helms, Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20), and Sarah Watkins (I’m With Her / Nickel Creek). The album was even featured on Wilco’s “Favorite Albums of 2019” List.

“New Girl” — early 1970s Laurel Canyon folk meets Rio De Janeiro — followed in June 2022, and her most recent duo EP called “So Many Melodies” — a songwriter’s record with hints of Americana and blues with Nashville writer, Justin Wade Tam — just released on Soundly music February 2024.

Jamie continues to redefine herself with her next single, “Thread and the Spark” out May 22nd, written with and produced by Emmett Kai (Jordana) marks a sharp turn in her musical career, delivering an altogether new and monstrous sound bringing her edgier but feminine, mature self front and center.
