With City battling to stay in Division One in the penultimate game of 1997-98, he scored what's been dubbed "the best own goal of all time" - intercepting a pass and heading the ball over his teammate in goal, Martyn Margetson. In 2020, the Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney spoke to him.
