    Northanger Abbey 1987 & 2007 (Part 1)

    Northanger Abbey 1987 & 2007 (Part 1)

Sasha and Jess compare two adaptations of Northanger Abbey -  the BBC's 1987 film starring Katharine Schlesinger and Peter Firth, and the 2007 ITV film starring Felicity Jones and JJ Fields.

This was a very long discussion, so this review is a two-parter. This episode is part 1 and we'll continue with part 2 next episode.

Content notes: discussion of fantasies of non-consent and reluctance.

Witty, educational, an all-around good time!

Love listening to these ladies. The perfect podcast to listen to in the morning with a cup of tea.

Unexpectedly hilarious + interesting

Ok so I started this expecting to be newly educated on Jane Austen but both of the reviewers are insanely hilarious and fun to listen to. I have never been educated while I also cry from laughter. I enjoyed the inclusion of a film that isn’t Hollywood and more unfamiliar. Very fun!
