Fun!

I just listen to my first podcast on your show and I will definitely listen to more. I lived in Tokay for one and a half years and in Kobe for 4 1/2 and I’m now live in California. I got to go to Tokyo in December and really enjoyed it. I would never have picked the area we stayed – it was only because my daughter had to be there for international linguistic conference. But it turned out great! Your Podcast reminded me how any place could be interesting in Tokyo!

Say, I’ve written a novel set in Tokyo that tells of two mothers doing their best by their teens, one being a hikikomori and one into compensated dating. I plan to listen to more your shows and get more of a flavor of what you’re talking about and how you do it. I’d love to be a guest on your show sometime. I will pitch you some specific ideas later.

Awesome content

This is a great podcast for people wanting to learn everything about Japan. The hosts, Matt and David are the coolest podcast hosts. They share a Japanese song in every episode and sometimes they do radio episodes with lots of songs. No other podcast about Japan does it as good as Japan2.0. Give em a listen!

An awesome tale of two guys who love Japan and telling others about it in awesome ways

I was pretty late (unfortunately) to discovering this podcast, as it was August of 2019 when I happened to find them, but have been unable to stop listening over the past 6 months. It's quite emotional for me to have finally caught up in real time and actually have to wait for these awesome recordings, but still so worth it. Their podcasts and vinyl mixtapes / live performances have gotten me through a lot of manual labor and long drives, and made them enjoyable. Matt, David, thank you guys so much for the honest hard work you put into content, and not just sugarcoating it with great production, but having something down to earth and spectacularly basic to talk about most times as it is your daily life. You've done a fantastic job over the years, and it was awesome catching up on your stories throughout the last 6 months of my listening. I hope you continue to do it, because I will most definitely continue to listen, and hope to meet you guys one day. Thank you. (P.S. just as I had made it to the 100th episode I was hoping you guys would do a Doki Doki radio soon as they have been on repeat in between the standard podcasts for months because I enjoyed them so much, so when I saw the new one I was so pleasantly surpised. I really appreciate all you do!)
