Jennifer Anderson: Resilience Yoga Therapy Second Act Fit Pros

    • Fitness

Jennifer Anderson is founder of Resilience Yoga Therapy. She’s a yoga therapist offering 1:1 sessions, small group sessions, and yoga and meditation workshops tailored to a specific need or group. Her personal experience with yoga led her to expand her study and get certified as a yoga therapist and a level 2 iRest Meditation teacher. She’s been teaching yoga and meditation since 2009 while also working as a change leadership consultant.

As a yoga therapist she specializes in supporting people with spine health, pain care, mental and emotional well-being and cultivating resilience.  Her work is trauma-informed, heart-centered and accessible. She is certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has additional training in movement disorders, Ayurveda, yoga for mood management, scoliosis, meditation, PTSD, grief, and healing with Chakras.

We discuss:

-Using yoga and mindfulness meditation to help develop resilience in mind and body

-How a yoga therapist differs from a yoga instructor

-Why she feels it's an exciting time to be in the field

-The role yoga therapy plays in healthy aging.
