Very frustrating...

This class could have been wonderful. The professor is knowledgeable and personable, the subject fascinating. However, the quality of the course is undermined by the complete disregard for the online student. In the American media capital, UCLA presents a course with deplorable production values. The microphones are placed so that the sounds of students coughing or trucks passing drown out the lecturer’s voice. Although slides are integral to the presentation, they are shown only in the background. It is impossible to see them online. It’s maddeningly disrespectful of the online viewer.

A 5000 year overview of the History of Jerusalem...

Dr. Cargill analyzes the history of Jerusalem from the perspective of a scholar and an archaeologist, rather than that of a theologian. He gives perspective that both the scholar and the theologian can benefit and learn from. I have recommended this to friends at church who are not afraid to address the subject without theological bias. The history of Jerusalem gives one a clearer view of Middle East issues.
