Comedian Frank Liotti and writer Eila Mell discuss the wonderfully twisted side of all things pop culture. From Rocky Horror to John Waters, Paris is Burning to Pose, Mommie Dearest to Miranda Priestly, Tootie to Jan Brady, with a weekly episode corner reflecting on "Hairdo of the week." A rip-roaring ride through the minds of two former rebel outcast kids who never lost their love for the seedy underbelly of a world where they're all going to laugh at you, wire hangers aren't allowed and the category is always fun. That's all.

Yelp Review: If I could, I would give this babysitter ZERO stars! She had sex in our bed, and the whole room smelled like eggs. Her boyfriend was still hanging around the kitchen when we got home, the phone was off the hook, the dog was dead, our kids were missing, and worst of all she left crumbs on the countertop!

I hope this podcast NEVER ends!
Eila and Frank make the most ho hum day bearable. I love this podcast. Listening to the hosts and their back and forth chit chat makes you feel as if you are in the room with them and are one of their “crew”. Even when they go off on some totally off the topic tangent, you don’t mind. It’s just more time with these two friends. I hope this podcast never ends. I look forward to their take on movies mixed with the banter when they’re old and gray, maybe reminding each other to take their stool softeners. I can hear Eila scolding Frank on yet another potty accident while he discusses his daily struggle to not trip on his saggy ball sack. All while their chewing their prunes.
Will this podcast harm my child?: A review for puzzled listeners
Jiffy Pop Culture, hosted by writer Eila Mell and comedian Frank Liotti, is an irreverent and frequently digressive consideration of such canonical works of cult film and television as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mommy Dearest, Show Girls, and Welcome to the Doll’s House. The show’s hosts proudly flaunts its political incorrectness and is often resorts to off-color humor and raw language as they assess the relative merits—and, more amusingly, the demerits—of these films, the majority of which do not appeal to mainstream tastes. The conversation tends toward the explicit, and Liotti alludes to possibly being homosexual. Mell and Liotti are, however, quite savvy about this topic, and their witty banter is infectious. Recommended to adults who may share in their somewhat eyebrow-raising attitudes toward life and film, though if you listen with children under the age of 15 you may want to have a conversation with them about what, exactly, they’re hearing.
