30 episodes

Conversations centered around faith, life, culture, and sometimes food. Jimmy Humphrey is a lifelong newlywed, armchair theologian, and dreamer of small things. He also enjoys taking pictures of his food and sharing it on social media (and offers no apologies for it). Opinions are his own, but he's more than happy to let them also be yours!

Jimmy was born in the North but raised in the South by the grace of God. He likes both ice hockey and iced tea. Born in the 80's, he's technically a millennial, but not the kind you hear about on the news or as the butt of bad jokes.

Jimmy hold's a bachelors degree from Lee University in Biblical studies, and also attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, but dropped out after a year due to "life happening."

Jimmy is firmly Evangelical/Pentecostal-ish in his theological outlook, and a lowercase "capitalist" and "libertarian" minded individual in economic and political philosophies. However with that said, he enjoys interacting with ideologies on all sides of the isle, and frequently holds ideas that would anger many on the left as well as the right.

Jimmy is committed to intellectual honesty, and is not afraid to ask hard questions and provide tough answers. And while Jimmy sometimes acts like a know-it-all (because he knows a lot), he's also not afraid to tell you when he doesn't know something.

Jimmy is happily married, has a couple of dogs, and lives in the suburbs of Charlotte, NC. For a living, he works at one of the big bad banks in the mortgage industry. Jimmy attends New City Church in Charlotte, NC, and is active in youth ministry there.
