Dr. Jennifer Crawford- Lecturer of Chemistry at Mercer University

Did you know that MyPlan.com ranks being a professor as one of the most satisfying jobs?  I wanted to learn more, so I reached out to Dr. Jennifer Crawford lecturer of Chemistry at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Her love for chemistry and desire to help her students grow fuels her drive to teach first year college students.  It was so fun to speak with her and I think we covered almost every topic ranging from a day in her life as a  lecturer, her degree path, her doctoral program experience, her career path to even talking about technology in the classroom.  Her wisdom on factors to consider when choosing a graduate school is a must listen for those planning post graduate studies.  Enjoy!

Rushawnda Olden: 4- H Pinckey Leadership Director Clemson University Cooperative Extension

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Rushawnda Olden, the 4-H Pinckney Leadership Director through Clemson University’s cooperative extension.  She has a big heart for serving youth and has made a tremendous impact on helping them grow leadership skills.
Get ready to be blessed with her wisdom  as she shares what I consider to be a helpful roadmap to leading oneself and fostering aspirations.  I especially loved our conversation about the importance of having a mentor.
Grab a notepad and pen.  I think you will want to take notes.

To quote her favorite leadership motto by Craig Groeschel, "People would rather follow a leader who is always 'real' than a leader who is always 'right'.

Inspiring and Informative

Every college (and college-bound) student needs to listen to this podcast! The guests are inspiring and their stories provide tremendous insight into different industries and jobs. It’s a great way to help identify what you’re interested in and not interested in.

Very insightful

Loved all of the angles you covered! As a teacher, I sit in on a lot of interviews at my school. I agree that being able to share their story, know their strengths (being a good listening and being able to take time to process before giving input is such a great example), and asking questions at the end (that is always our last question to the interviewer as well). Will recommend this podcast to anyone getting ready to interview.

I genuinely learned something new here!

A quick 20 minutes to get answers to a lot of questions I’ve never known the answer to when it comes to the interview process. Whether you’re brand new to a career or building one, this podcast has already proven to be helpful in a short amount of time. Absolutely love it!
