The teachings of Jesus lead us to a better, fuller life. This was true in the ancient world where Jesus first taught, and it’s still true today. But what does it mean to actually practice the way of Jesus in today’s complex, secular world? In this podcast by Practicing the Way, John Mark Comer responds to that important question through his teachings at Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. Join us as John Mark provides practical insight on how you can be with Jesus, become like Him and do what He did wherever you are today.

The Problem With the Bible | It Is Written E1
We have a problem with the Bible. More and more followers of Jesus in the west don’t read it, don’t now how to read it, don’t even like it, and frankly, take issue with it. So why do we follow the Bible? In this episode, John Mark looks at how Jesus talked about the Bible, arguing that we believe in the Bible because of Jesus's authority, not the other way around.

Feb 24. 2024 this is exactly how i feel
this time of year and reading the Torah, I go through a lot of anguish the other day and numbers five it was so cruel and humiliating, accusing this woman of adultery. I just thought what kind of trash is this that’s so inhumane and it just makes me cry. this is what I put my commitment in, this is my only hope in life and this is what it is sometimes it makes me really sad and full of despair so maybe this year of literacy will be helpful I hope thank you
John Mark - Wise words
John Mark’s teachings led me str8 to JESUS!
God Send
These teachings are wrecking my inner world. I’ve never felt so challenged but in the most loving way from Jesus. I have been a Christian for many years but just about a year ago finally found a church community I really fit with and can feel myself growing there. My pastor recommended John Mark teachings as an extension of the spring and fall practice we do as a church. Thankful for finding these podcasts. What a beautiful gift!
