    SURREY HILLS COMMUNITY RADIO MONDAY 11TH MAY  Annie Segal from Bookham joined us at Surrey Hills Community Radio. She wants to raise awareness of  her  rare condition called Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome  - a  condition that she  got diagnosed when she was 3 years old. Annie spoke to Luke and I and  told us about living with RTS and how it impacts her life.

    Epsom Derby - The Christmas Day Time Capsule

    SURREY HILLS COMMUNITY RADIO MONDAY 8TH JUNE   When Christmas Day won the Epsom Derby it also completed a series of coincidences stemming from a 1964 letter and coins discovered in a time capsule at Crystal Palace by a builder. The coins were winnings from a horse called Santa Claus who won the Derby that year. It urged the finder to put money on a horse with a Christmas related name in a future Derby. - Christmas Day in 2026 was the first festively named horse since 1964 and the  Romanian builder who uncovered the time capsule has a name that means Christmas. I spoke to the Mayor of Bromley Christine Harris who told me more about this curious story.

    Walk a mile in her shoes?

    RADIO WOKING SUNDAY 07 JUNE Aneece and Harry Bear joined me in the studio to discuss the return Walk a Mile in her Shoes, a fundraiser which sees a group of men walking from O'Neils pub in  Woking to The Kingfield Arms pub wearing woman's shoes, with other clothing optional. Aneece's son Harry explains why he is getting involved and how the event on 13th June this year is raising money for  The National Hereditary Breast cancer charity, which supports men and women  like Aneece and Harry who have the BRCA Gene.   www.justgiving.com/walkamile2026
