A graduate of the Paris Conservatoire in saxophone, chamber music, and generative improvisation, Joshua Hyde won the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 3rd Jean-Marie Londeix International Competition. He is a part of the Parisian music ensemble Soundinitiative, is a member of the duo Scapegoat with Canadian percussionist Noam Bierstone, and of the Australian contemporary music ensemble Elision. Particularly interested in creating immersive performance contexts, his compositions often incorporate his own videos and visual arts.
