    Prior to opening his firm, Mark worked at Aloia, Roland, Lubell & Morgan, PLLC for 5 yrs as an attorney, practicing Personal Injury/Civil Litigation, he was an Intern and Summer Associate there for three years prior. He also worked as a Leasing Consultant at Campus Crest and interned at the Alachua County Court House. During the internship, he was able to experience different types of trials (i.e., criminal or civil), was exposed to the typical workday of a judge, lawyer, and court reporter, and gained other valuable experience.

    Judge Walker received his Juris Doctor: Florida International University, College of Law, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Arts , Political Science and Bachelor of Science, Telecommunications: University of Florida, and his Associate of Arts:  Santa Fe Community College.
    He is a member of the County Bar Association, Paul C. Perkins Bar Association, Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Federalist Society, and Board Member, Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County.

    Jamesia Jackson is a 2L at Florida A&M Agricultural University College of Law; she received her B.A. from FAMU ("Double Rattler") in biology and premed. This year she is our Podcast Ambassador.

    Shannon C. Walker is a Class of 2022 Alum and is our first Program Assistant for the Class of 2024.

    She is a dedicated attorney who desires to help others resolve issues and overcome crises. She is an experienced attorney with extensive litigation experience in the public and private sectors.

    Shannon also serves on several boards, including the George Edgecomb Bar Association, where she won the first contested election for Parliamentarian. She also serves on the board of Xavier House Unlimited, Inc., bringing about an innovative, premier placement for exceptional youth experiencing foster care!

    She is a former school teacher and has a daughter who was an unofficial member of the program.

    Assita Toure | Alumni Update and Board Member Interview

    Assita Toure, Staff Litigation Counsel for Florida.

    Assita Toure has been practicing since 2019 with prior experience handling casualty, product liability, premises liability, trucking litigation cases and criminal matters. Assita began her career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 13th Circuit Office of the Public Defender's office where she represented adults and juveniles accused of committing misdemeanor and felony offenses. After leaving the Public Defender's office, Assita transitioned to a regional insurance defense firm in Tampa, Florida where she represented corporations and small businesses in claims arising from a variety of trucking accidents including wrongful death actions, vehicle/ pedestrian and multiple vehicle collisions. She also represented businesses against premises liability, auto negligence, product liability and various tort claims.

    Assita received her B.A. in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of South Florida in 2016 and her J. D. with a dual concentration in Social Justice Advocacy from Stetson College of Law in 2019. While in law school, she served as the President of the Black Law Student Association, was a Diversity Access Pipeline Scholar, an extern for the Honorable Keith Meyer of the 6th Judicial Circuit, Clearwater and as an intern for the Honorable Robert G. Fegers of the 10th Judicial Circuit, Bartow.

    Assita is involved in several civic and professional organizations and served on the executive board of the Fred G. Minnis Bar Association from 2019 to 2023.

    Jennifer Hope Strouf, J.D., LL.M., B.C.S. is the founder of the Strouf Law Firm, P.A.  

    Jennifer was born and raised in Tampa, the Bay area is her home. She graduated from Leto High School where she was editor of the features section of the newspaper and performed with the Falconettes. She attended the University of South Florida where she earned a degree in Political Science with a minor in Communications. Jennifer went on to earn her law degree from Stetson University College of Law. Jennifer practiced law for three years and then returned to school to earn her Master of Laws in Employee Benefits from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Jennifer’s practice took her all over the country before she returned home to focus on defending individuals. 

    Jennifer has been identified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Criminal Trial Law, earning her Florida Bar Board Certification in Criminal Trial. Jennifer is a trial attorney who has litigated civil and criminal cases in both State and Federal Courts. She has tried 75 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. Jennifer believes in a personal approach to handling clients’ cases. She uses her skills and expertise to fight for her clients both in and out of court.
