    HARDY III

    HARDY III

Episode 34 comes with a little surprise for you listenERNS. You are all familiar with this guest from his appearances in previous episodes, but he made an unexpected stop by the studio and decided to crash the pod once again: HARDY

Ern was expecting to do a solo pod until HARDY walked in and decided to hang for a while. They kick off by talking about HARDY's weird sleep habit, a failed golf trip with Michael Jordan, and their upcoming summer shows together. Next, they come up with a new band name, Ern tells a story of an intense rash-turned-yeast-infection, and HARDY teaches Ern how to take a shot without getting the "shivers." Lastly, they close out by talking about mini kegs, absinth, Kanye West's genius, and HARDY orders a bidet on the pod after ERNEST tells him how it has changed his life for the better.

    Mike.

    Mike.

This week's guest was the first artist Ern ever toured with... Artist, entrepreneur, and podcaster: MIKE.

Ern and Mike are quite literally rollin' from jump. Passing a blunt around the studio, they kick off the discussion by breaking down what their musical interests are at the moment, how Mike’s baseball career as a pitcher at Duke turned into a musical career, and Ernest’s experience on tour with Mike in 2019. Then Mike offers a hot take on Nashville, names his favorite spots to hang, and finds out he and Ernest are chasing different things downtown...

Next, Mike goes into detail about why he changed his stage name and what his new music is leaning towards before he drops some entrepreneurial wisdom from his business ventures. Lastly, Mike shares a story about almost catching a felony on his 21st birthday and how that motivated him to pursue music with a whole new ambition.

    Jordan Davis

    Jordan Davis

We are back with Episode 32! This week's guest is a 2x Platinum artist and possibly Dan Bilzerian's brother: JORDAN DAVIS

Ern and Jordan jump in discussing their favorite artists, Jordan shooting his first animal at nine years old, and how Ernest is becoming a household name (which might be old news for some of us). Then, Jordan talks about his first few years in Nashville, and the two swap pickup lines. Next, Jordan shares how he and his college roommates were catfished by a guy they lived with for 2 years at LSU.

Moving on, the two react to Fergie singing the national anthem, they take the Livin' La Vida Local segment for a spin around town, and Ern tells a story of a disaster avoided while out to eat. Lastly, they close out the episode with a New Orleans haunted hotel story, Ern talks about living in the Virgin Islands for a year, and Jordan's new music coming out soon!

    Jelly Roll (Pt. II)

    Jelly Roll (Pt. II)

PART 2 with JELLY ROLL! And whoever said sequels are never as good as Part 1 was WRONG.

After a little smoke to kick off Part 2, Ern & Jelly pick up right where they left off. They start by discussing the creation of Ernest's album, "Locals Only," how the "Tropical Cowboy" brand came to be, and Jelly explains the two things he CANNOT STAND about artists. Then they debate the best songwriters in Nashville, Jelly throws some praise at Big Loud, and he tells the legendary story of watching the Music City Miracle from his cell in juvenile hall.

They wrap up the episode with Jelly sharing his favorite books and movies (which brings Ernest to tears), they do a classic Livin La Vida Local segment, Ern tells a story about lighting a lawn on fire, and they share a laugh about an instance where they took "do whatever you want" a little too far.

    Enjoy!

    Jelly Roll (Pt. I)

    Jelly Roll (Pt. I)

This week's guest is a Nashville native, musician, reformed drug dealer, and definitely not a concrete expert: JELLY ROLL

Ern and Jelly kick off the episode with a hilarious story about how Jelly ruined a construction site on his way to the pod. Then, Jelly makes a bold claim about who the new country music outlaws are before remembering his own run-ins with the law. Next, Jelly drops some knowledge on the direction of his music career, why music should never be undervalued, and the importance of celebrating little victories. They close out the episode by sharing stories of their best and worst drug experiences, including an acid-driven adventure in Salt Lake City.

TO BE CONTINUED: Look for Part II next week!

    Lainey Wilson

    Lainey Wilson

This week's guest is a fellow singer/songwriter who has become a mainstay on various "Artists to Watch" lists. She's got a southern accent as pure as they come, knows her away around a farm, and started her hustle performing as a Hannah Montana impersonator: LAINEY WILSON

ERNEST and Lainey start things off by talking about what it was like growing up in small-town Louisiana with a population of 300 people. This leads them to reveal Ern's inability to read a map as well as the beginning of Lainey's performing career as a Hannah Montana look-alike. Then they discuss the time Lainey's "Deddy" (that's southern for "Daddy") found a gun in her Camaro, the early days of Lainey's career in Nashville when she was living in a trailer, and why playing at nursing homes is an extremely high-pressure gig.

After laughs throughout, the two close out the episode with some discussion on Chet Hank's "White Boy Summer" movement and why this guy should definitely not be anyone's spokesperson.

All that and MUCH more. Enjoy your Monday, listenERNs!
