This is a bi-weekly (fortnightly) podcast that explores the concept of justice and how it changes depending on the perspective you take and the context you are in. Our idea is to showcase exciting projects/research/initiatives that are generating more "just realities" around the globe. This podcast is a collaborative space, so you can join us and co-create your own episode, as a host, as a guest, as part our tech or research team.

    On collective actions towards a sustainable university. UTTransition collective at the University of Technology of Troyes (in French)

    On this bonus episode (in French) we talk to some of the founding member of the UTTrantision collective at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT). They have created a transversal agenda that tackles the most pressing problems not only at the core of the university but as active participants on the transition towards a more just and sustainable society. From the impacts of digitalisation to the protection of the local ecosystems surrounding the university, Romain, Lou and Nicolas share with us their perspectives. They also invite all the members of the UTT community to look at their candidates for the next election of the different student councils.  Dans cet épisode nous discutons avec quelques fondateurs et membres du collectif UTTransition au sein de l'Université de Technologie de Troyes (UTT). Ces derniers proposent une charte et un agenda transversals qui prennent en compte et proposent des actions pour résoudre les défis plus importants de l'UTT et de notre société.     On circular, sustainable and modular furniture with Charlotte van der Lande, founder of A Lott of Space

    In this episode we invite our good friend and excellent dutch entrepreneur Charlotte van der Lande to talk about the ins and outs of her business adventure. She is launching her own brand of furniture called A Lott of Space, which incorporates principles of sustainability and circular economy to design and create modular furniture. Do not miss the soft-lunch of A Lott of Space! It will take place from the 17th to the 25th of October during the online Dutch Design Week 2020. Charlotte focuses (at this moment) on small urban living spaces and how can they be transformed by "activating" the furniture in those living rooms.     On death, Circular Economy and utopic societies - with Alexandre Lemille

    We invited Alexandre Lemille, director of Anthesis Group and co-founder of the African Circular Economy Network (ACE Network) to daydream about a more circular society. He has been involved in the world of Circular Economy for about 10 years now, from participating of the partnership between Cisco Systems and The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, to proposing the Circular Economy 2.0, to working on The Circular Humansphere nowadays.     Pre-Episode 1 - Teaser and invitation to participate

    Join our podcast and lets figure out a way to co-create new more just realities! We are experiencing an era of overall injustice largely as a result of a dominant political construct where the global market resolves all social, environmental, economic, cultural and political problems. That, so-called, “free market” is frequently imposed violently as the rights of private property and profit (monetary/economic) undermine almost any other notions of environmental and human rights.  Depending on the social, geographical and historical contexts, the concept of “justice” takes different meanings. This podcast will explore those different perspectives on « justice » by portraying real case studies that are facing the current social, cultural, economic and environmental challenges, and are proposing alternative solutions towards more just and sustainable realities.
