I love this podcast
I am a huge Dragnet fan. I got into it when it started being shown on Nick at night. I agree with the host that Jack Webbs establishment angle is over blown and personally feel his approach is overly dramatic whichs leads to it beig more camp and comedic. Clearly Jack Webb had a personal agenda.
As a production I find it very excellent but Jack misses the mark whe it comes to portraying teens and young adults. I really enjoy the set up for each show capturing the tone and feel of the era. I binged the podcast on a 16 hours drive from Ilinois to South Carolina and it made the drive very enjoyable.
I must say in episode one, LSD story, Bill Gannon telling Benji to "sober up" kills me. Expect me to interact on the twitter page. I also like the randon number generator. 5 stars.
I just discovered this podcast and am impressed with the research that goes into putting each episode in historical perspective. Keep up the good work!
You’re doing great research for this show. If you took this show less seriously and made fun of this show it would be a great podcast. Dragnet simply does not deserve to be taken this seriously.
