    Episode 26: Abe's Got Problems, Y'all

    Episode 26: Abe's Got Problems, Y'all

Not long ago someone wanted to buy land in Osaka from the Japanese government to build an ultra-nationalist elementary school -- because that's apparently a real thing -- but didn't have the money to do it. Fortunately, that person was friends with Akie Abe, wife of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and before long the price of the land dropped significantly. The scandal that followed involves forged documents, arrests for fraud, high-ranking government official resignations, and even suicide. Today Aaron and Jharrod lay it out on the table with significant help from the Shingetsu News Agency. Here's their patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ShingetsuNews
