An awesome podcast!
Like it says on the tin - Kane and Feels is very awesome. More so than that, the dialogue between the two titular characters is snappy and witty, even at times quite heartbreaking. The writers manage to balance good, episodic story telling with an overarching mystery and they do this very well by planting enough clues that aren’t totally obvious but do drive the mystery.
It’s very trippy - it is called Day Trippers. That’s not a mark against the show at all since there’s quite a bit of creativity and fun to be had with the sound design which is very ASMR.
The best, most succinct way I can sum this show up is if ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘The Magnus Archives’ made a tabletop mystery.
Feedback I’d give is to make sure everyone’s mic is on the same levels and to lower the background noise when a character is having an internal monologue so we get that audio cue. Other than that, I highly recommend this podcast!!
I genuinely hope that they continue the story! I’m fully engrossed!!
Good story, audio ruins it
Love the idea of this story, and the interactions between the two main characters is great. The incessant background audio—sound effects, discordant music—is SO distracting that it ruins the podcast and makes it difficult to follow, and sometimes is downright annoying and maddening and I cannot listen. The audio overshadows last the dialogue and narrative monologues to the point where I have a love /hate feeling about Kane and Feels. I do agree that listening with earbuds or headphones instead of in car is much more palatable but even then the voice narration or dialogue is still often too quiet to hear properly.
That said, I do love the paranormal stories and mystery, and even though I don’t like Kane, his character is fascinating and I want to know more about him. Feels is awesome but more background on both characters is welcome.
Fix the audio, tone it down and I would change my rating!
This podcast is amazing. Got recommended from a Friend and now we’re even closer ^^
