LAUNCHING APRIL 28TH – In Season 1 of KAREN, we unpacked the explosive case of Karen Read, accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, with her SUV. After the first trial ended in a hung jury, the high-stakes case of Karen Read returns to court—and the pressure has never been greater. In KAREN: THE RETRIAL, we return to the courtroom—where the stakes are higher, the drama is deeper, and the fight for truth is far from over. KAREN: THE RETRIAL isn’t just about the verdict—it’s about power, perception, and who gets to write the story. Investigative Reporter Kristin Thorne is embedded at the heart of the action, bringing exclusive interviews, expert analysis, and real-time reporting from inside the courtroom. With new prosecutors, a relentless defense, and a public obsessed with every twist, we ask: Is Karen Read the victim of a malicious prosecution—or is there finally enough evidence to convict? And in a trial tried as much in the media as in court, how much does the truth even matter? KAREN: THE RETRIAL is your front-row seat to a legal battle where reputations, lives, and the very meaning of justice are on the line. Biased reporting
Mar 31
I only recently heard of the Karen Read case, and immediately looked for a podcast to learn more about it. While this one kept my interest enough to keep listening, it was clearly very biased reporting. I will be looking for a podcast or documentary on the case that tells both sides in a less biased way.
Very sad story

I learned a lot from listening to this podcast. I feel terrible for the family and the defendant. Two mistrials! Based on the testimonies in this podcast, in my opinion, I would think there is plenty of doubt to indicate she should be found not guilty.
Not overly biased, well done.

I don’t understand the search controversy - either the search was earlier and it’s clear evidence of a conspiracy, or it was an open tab or whatever and isn’t. Go find the Safari folks and get the right answer - I really don’t get it.
Too much testimony
Feb 10
Mehhhhhhh. There is so much recorded testimony during this podcast. Several episodes were over 60% recorded testimony. It felt as if they were adding audio recordings in to add more episodes. The narrative sections are great but the testimony dragged.
