Danny Ray inspires me to listen more deeply to a man I’ve enjoyed for more than a decade. With a psychological analysis that far surpasses my surface listening, Ray brings out elements of Bon Iver’s music that I never knew about or in many cases even considered. This podcast balances snippets of the music that illustrate Ray’s commentary and insights, and it has made me even more of a fan of one of my favorite artists. Congratulations to Danny Ray for a recording an intelligent introduction that deepens the listener’s understanding of a rather opaque but brilliant artist.
Awesome new podcast. Danny Ray is super chill while being super insightful. Got some new perspective on some music I love and discovered some new tunes. Awesome way to spend some time and expand my musical appreciation.
