Bad Behavior is a Symptom of a Heart Issue

Bad Behavior is a Symptom of a Heart Issue

If you want a more peaceful home don’t take the normal parenting short-term approach. Correcting your children’s behavior is important and it’s vital to be consistent, but if you don’t tend to their hearts while doing so, it will lead to frustration over time. It also misses an important opportunity for getting to the heart level of the issue with your children that should end by pointing them to Jesus. A biblically based approach to correcting your children. Remember, if you don’t have their heart in this season, you will likely lose it in the next. Just think about it, most Christian parents don’t have their children’s hearts in a strong enough way in today’s society, but it’s essential. Who’s Spiritually Leading Your Family?

    Who’s Spiritually Leading Your Family?

We all must ask this question and be willing to be honest about it. With about 80% of the children raised in Christian homes leaving the church by age 18, we must do things differently than most Christian parents. So who is spiritually leading your family? As parents, I hope we all would want to say “We are”, but the truth is most aren’t. Not with the intentionality and frequency the bible talks about in Deuteronomy 6:6-9. While a church's influence is good and needed, if that’s where they get most of their Spiritual nourishment, then parents are failing in this area.

Isaac and Angie Tolpin dive into what the Bible says about gender roles in the family and the importance of both mom and dad having influence while respecting God’s plan for the family. They even go into what if your husband isn’t a Christian, and direction for single moms and dads too.

One of the biggest challenges though is when spouses disrespect each other in front of their children, and sometimes even sarcasm can confuse children in how to relate with you. J.J.A.C.S. ,

Absolutely love this pod cast and this family!!

Thank you so much for all the hard work and love poured into this ministry! I have five kids and I know the sacrifice it must take to do this. I truly believe your doing amazing things in other families lives!!! I’m so grateful for the ones willing to be Jesus's hands and feet, carrying the word of God to the world and building up the family culture. I get so much out of each and every episode even ones about parenting stages of life I’ve already walked through. It helps me see where I may have gone wrong and look back and realize how we got to this current point. I have so many new parents in my family and I always tell them if there was one thing I could have added to my parenting walk day one it would be the tools talked about and used in this pod cast!! Thank you Isaac and Angie for helping me have a teachable heart so I can nurture that in my children as well. I would love to one day take all the classes offered and look forward to every episode!!! 💯🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
