We could tell you about our show, but in the words of LeVar Burton, "don't take our word for it!" Here is an actual listener's description of the show: "Think Cher Horowitz meets Dolly Parton... create a love child. Then THAT person meets Bill Kurtis.... and two random girls are the product of that.... that's Tyrella and Tori (sisters and hosts). Smart, weird, pretty, blonde, hilarious, southern, and just really okay with being themselves.... even when it is weird. It made me realize [they] became their role models without even meaning to." Give it a try if you like ANY of those people and/or a lighter take on your True Crime!

The Vigilante Killing of Ken Rex McElroy

The Vigilante Killing of Ken Rex McElroy

On the morning of July 10th, 1981, shots rang out in the small town of Skidmore, Missouri.  Outside of the D&G Tavern, the engine of a truck could be heard roaring to life, until it gave out, and eventually the engine blew.  In the truck was the body of Ken Rex McElroy, who was known in Skidmore as the “town bully.”  Incredibly, with dozens of people surrounding the truck when the shooting took place, there were no witnesses who could identify the shooter, or shooters, besides McElroy’s wife, who was in the truck beside him when he was shot.

Murder Mixtape 207- The Murder of Derontae Martin

TRIGGER WARNINGS: racism, murder, drug use

In the very early morning hours of April 25th, 2021, Missouri resident James Wade called 911 and calmly told the dispatcher that someone had apparently just shot themself in his home. When paramedics and police arrived, they found 19-year-old Derontae Martin dead from a gunshot wound to the head. The local sheriff’s department and highway patrol quickly ruled the young man’s death a suicide. However, his family and friends felt that there was no investigation and no consideration that Derontae could’ve been a victim of homicide. In an area of Missouri that was largely white and in a house where he was the only black person, Derontae ended up dead. Though the suicide ruling was overturned, there still has been no investigation. What happened to Derontae Martin?

The Infamous Bonnie and Clyde [FREE Weekly Episode]

From 1932 to 1934, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were perhaps the best-known outlaws in the United States.  It was during the Great Depression that Bonnie and Clyde rose to fame for their daring bank heists and Robin Hood-esque crimes.  Hollywood glamorized them as a young couple in love, but in their time on the run, they left a trail of death and destruction in their path and are believed to be responsible for the deaths of four civilians and nine police officers.  Their story came to an abrupt end at the hands of authorities in May of 1934, when they were only 23 and 25 years old.

Just be you

Long time listener but noticed recently y’all have been trying appease naysayers. Just keep being yourself and doing your best. Don’t apologize for anything. Not all of us are offended by the truth XO

shelzbald ,

Highly recommend!

I love these two!!! They are so funny and have me laughing out loud. They aren’t true crime experts and don’t pretend to be. This is a great podcast if you want to listen to gruesome stories but hear two lovely Southern ladies bring in some humor. Their sister dynamic is so funny and I think they do a great job honoring the victims and telling their story!

Must listen to these gals!

Howdy!
