King Solomon's Mines The Annotated Author

I recount how I stumbled upon this book at 8 years old, on a shopping trip with my family. I share how it inspired me to write adventure stories, and how now as an adult I can look back on the novel with scrutiny and discuss its racism, misogyny, and praise for colonialism in Arica.
