KIT SYMONS

Manchester City Interviews

For a spell, Kit Symons thought he had scored the goal that had kept Manchester City in the Premier League. His equaliser on the final day of 1995-96 against Liverpool at Maine Road seemed to be enough to secure survival - but duff information had reached the dugout. That 2-2 draw was still sending City down, and their time-wasting had been problematic. Symons was at City during one of the most difficult spells - which included managerial changes and two relegations. The Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney spoke to the former captain in the summer of 2020.
