He's an intergral part of the story, from Detroit hip hop to worldwide. He released J Dilla's first record, just released a new Mike & Keys record, Formula One, on the Street Corner Music. We talk about that and so much more on episode #155 of the Klyph Notes podcast.

Cool Nutz Klyph Notes Live
Now this is how you start a new year! My first guest of 2023 is veteran MC, businessman, and Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee. He’s represented Portland hip hop all over the globe and was gracious enough to return to Klyph Notes to catch up and share a major announcement regarding the return of POH-HOP. This was also the first recording of Klyph Notes Live at the beautiful Portland Center Stage and we truly had a great time. Welcome to episode #154 of Kyle Notes with my guest Cool Nutz.

Erik Abel - Just the beginning
This 1st episode of Klyph Notes for 2023 is the beginning of a conversation I’m looking forward to continuing. My guest has booked shows for some of the most talented and celebrated artists in music. Are connection goes back to when he was performing and booking gigs for himself and his crew and he speaks on how he’s been able to use some of those lessons learned in his current career. We only scratched the surface on this episode, in great part getting caught up, but setting the stage for the next episode. Enjoy episode #153 of Klyph Notes featuring Erik Abel.

Farnell Newton
An artist, producer, mentor...the titles do little to describe all this man does. Though he's shared stages with greats all over the world, he continues to build and nourish the local Portland scene. It's truly an honor the end the run of Klyph Notes Live podcast recordings at the Show Bar with my guest, the talented Farnell Newton.

Madame Golong
This episode features a conversation with an artist who’s built a career as a musician and band leader. Like me, a transplant to the northwest, she’s touching stages and building with the local scene while her schedule allows. When not here, she’s on the road with the S.O.S. band touring and playing some classic joint. Check out episode #151 of the Klyph Notes podcast featuring Crystal Martin aka Madame Golong.

PDX Hip Hop (And more) at its Finest!
A bangin’ podcast. As a Portland resident for 17+ years and a hip hop-hop junkie for waaaaay longer, I’ve witnessed the ups and downs of said genre in this city. DJ Klyph is one of the few hip-hop curators in the 503 still dedicated to the craft. I’ve been hyped to hear some dope in-depth interviews with some of my favorite PDX players in the game and always stoked to build my knowledge more. Much love.
