On Monday, September 3, 1990 Betty Jones and Kathryn Crigler were gruesomely raped and killed in Starkville, Mississippi in an unsolved case known as the “Labor Day Murders.” Even though their story received National attention on America’s Most Wanted, artist renderings of the suspect have been created and updated, DNA tests have been run and rerun… the identity of the killer is still unknown.

27 years later, this case remains cold and unsolved. Throughout this true crime podcast, we will dig into the details of these murders, make strides towards uncovering answers and seek justice for the lives of these victims.

Now more than ever, I want to do my part to help solve the murder of Kathryn and my beloved grandmother, Maw-Maw Betty.

Skip the Q&A’s

Skip the preproduction stuff.

Listen to episode one, skip all the pointless Q&A’s, try to make it through episode 2, fall asleep, realize every episode is a repeat of the first, then remove it from your library. Listen, the production quality is great. But the host tends to make the story all about him (“my grandma, I barely knew her but I love her, my grandma, my grandma” etc etc) repeats EVERYTHING CONSTANTLY, and honestly I feel like he just likes to hear himself talk. I feel as if this had a lot of potential, and fell very short.

Interesting Content

Interesting content well delivered but much much too much repetition within each podcast and throughout all chapters. Dragged out But thank you

Boring

Nothing happens. Has an intro to make you think it will be like up and vanished. He doesn’t interview anyone related to the case or discover anything new.
