Unfortunately this is a classic medical podcast supported by a big pharmaceutical company- Focuses initially on what drugs to us with no initial discussion about life style management approaches to prevention with addition of medicine later! It was well into the podcast before they finally said ‘eat less and exercise more’ —- but all in the context of what medications to use...

Sloppy Use of Titles & Definitions

Good idea to highlight this important topic. I was excited to listen. However, episode 1 mistakenly labels Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (PAs) as “allied health” rather than as healthcare providers. NPs & PAs are employed in primary and specialty care as healthcare providers! This episode actually gets the name wrong for PAs, saying “physician’s assistant” (there should be no apostrophe S.) This makes me question the knowledge and experience of the speakers.
