Davis-Cosby emphasizes the importance of supporting students and promoting safety on campus. KSU identified the suspect as Samuel Harris, and the shooting is under investigation. A memorial for Franklin includes heartfelt tributes, highlighting the campus's mourning amid its usual activities. KSU offers counseling resources for affected students, recognizing the emotional toll of the tragedy.

The victim's identity was not disclosed. The area was cordoned off, and streets around the scene were closed. The incident underscores the dangers associated with tree-cutting work. Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

STORY 3: Cobb Police Fatally Shoot Man Driving Stolen Truck

In Mableton, Cobb County Police fatally shot 40-year-old Clifford Jacoby Beck from Griffin, Georgia, after he attempted to flee in a stolen truck. Police boxed in the truck at a gas station, where a passenger exited but Beck tried to escape, ramming into police cars. Officers fired shots, hitting Beck. The truck caught fire, and Beck was pulled out and taken to a hospital, where he later died. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the incident.
