S2E1: 5 Tips To Help Reduce The Anxiety of Your Teen Driving

S2E1: 5 Tips To Help Reduce The Anxiety of Your Teen Driving

Do you remember dropping your kids off on their first day of school? It’s a jumbled mess of emotion from being excited for them to experience new things to worrying that they’ll be ok without you. There’s a whole new level of independence you have to get used to. (For both of you)
The same can be said when your kid is old enough to get behind the wheel.
Welcome back to Ladies Kar Care Talk Show! This season is dedicated to helping you and your kids get ready to hit the road safely, responsibly, and with Car-fidence!  If thinking about your teen behind the wheel makes your blood pressure rise, you aren’t alone! A study has shown that the leading cause of death for teenagers in the U.S. is car crashes. And with more distractions than ever before, it’s becoming even more important to make sure our teens are confident and prepared when they get out on the road. But have no fear! We have 5 amazing tips that will prepare your teen for the road and help you manage your anxiety. These tips include:
Actively Being A Part Of The Process
There is nothing better to instill confidence in your teen than being with them in every step of the licensing process. Their teacher won’t be with them forever, so take these moments and cement their learning in your own way.
    Create a Contract
When it comes to getting behind the wheel it’s important to have clear expectations. Creating a contract for them to sign helps them take it more seriously and helps you enforce the rules.
    Upgrade Your Safety And Maintenance
A great way to reduce anxiety while your teen is driving is to make sure that if an emergency situation were to occur they have everything they need to take care of it safely. This is also a great way to learn more about your car with them!
    Teach Them Safe Driving Techniques
Some of the best teaching we can do as parents is to lead by example. Make sure you follow all the rules for your car and show them your favorite safety techniques.
    Try Not to Overreact
No one wants to run into the garage door or hit a curb. How you react to your teen’s mistakes will greatly influence how they deal with emergencies later on. Building trust with your teen is essential to keeping them safe on the road.
So hit play and learn how you can ease your anxiety and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that your teen is ready and prepared for the road ahead of them.

Justin Guarini’s Conversation with Cindy

I loved listening to Justin and Cindy’s conversation about Core Confidence. I literally have a page of notes, and I loved the importance of learning through playing.

Women Empowerment

Kar Girl is where it’s at! She empowers women to take care of their own car needs and maintenance. She’s teaching “women to fish” per say, and not just giving them a fish. I used to hate taking my car in because I knew i would be charge 1k or more no matter what was wrong. Now i can have an understanding of what needs to be done on my car, and what’s a reasonable price to pay.
Plus, she has amazing guests on her show and a lively personality that keeps you smiling. You, too, can become a Kar Girl! I highly recommend you check it out! ♥️
