I’m in Love

I came across this podcast by chance about 2 weeks ago while looking for something to listen to before a flight. I started with the Disney season and became so enthralled that I finished it before returning home from my trip. Now, just 2 weeks later, I’ve finished the seasons on Facebook, dating apps, and just a few moments ago, the season on Apple. Every seasons is executed so well, being engaging, informative, and concise all at the same time. Loving it and looking forward to more!
Really interesting!

I truly enjoyed this other look to Disney. Growing up in the Nickelodeon era and going to Disney parks as a kid really placed everything into perspective as to the how Disney has become what it is today. Would highly recommend listening.

Season covering Disney has been fascinating, but honestly the best part of listening to all the episodes is the original music! Looked forward to hearing it every beginning, end, and transition for each episode. It perfectly mixes cool beats with this little melody that is somehow essence of Disney? So well done!
A great podcast sold its soul and belongs in the trash

I love every season of this podcast until the Disney series. Was there a conflict of the interest disclosure that I missed? I was shocked at how much time this podcast spent on its knees for Disney, whitewashing Disney’s epic 10 year run of failures. Everything below is major news and critical to understanding the company and non of it was covered. The Star Wars IP is on fire - every streaming show from SW has been canceled after one season. The Sequel trilogy was a failure with no plans for a movie in the works since. The SW park themed hotel closed to major embarrassment. The most beloved IP in history is now a money loser and is trash because of Disney. Marvel too is a dumpster fire, with failure after failure of characters no one cares about and writing so bad you me jab a pencil in your eyes to stop it. Only Deadpool saved that IP and that was Ryan Reynolds not Disney. Their animated movies have been major failures and as of right now - Snow White - the IP that is second only to Mickey Mouse is set to lose hundreds of millions. Hundreds of Millions. Delayed years. Snow White is now trash. Not one word of this was discussed. Any talk of the streaming service was glossed over as a challenge to the company. Star Wars, Marvel, Disney animation- all untrustworthy and hated by their target audiences. The “segment” (maybe 5 minutes of one episode) that dealt with Disney’s idiotic shift into politics was also glossed over, framed within a CEO struggle, and left with no actual truth being disclosed. The podcast made it feel like Disney did the right thing and after the Florida debacle nothing happened. The truth is they are lucky to not have been sued for neglecting their fiduciary duties. Politics are arguably Disney’s biggest problem…not discussed at all. The support for far left causes, actors and actresses currying animosity from the public with politics and idiot press interviews. Blaming the audience for failed content, and leaked videos of executives talking about their “not so secret gay agenda” to front load children’s programs with gay themes and messages - all happened and were never touched on in this podcast. All of this has been Disney’s only legacy for 10 years. Box office failure after failure after failure across all genres (blamed on political agendas), streaming service in disarray, being sued by talent for actual political retribution against female actresses (now in discovery), falling stock price, ruining classic IP, and to drive my point home - Disney of all companies had to fight off a hostile takeover. And yet Voxmedia didn’t see fit to discuss any of this. Disney is so vulnerable that it almost had a hostile takeover. No one would buy that 10 years ago. And this podcast didn’t want you to know. So I won’t be listening to this podcast anymore. I want truth. This was pathetic.
