What happens when you're the threat to your own survival. Making ourselves a priority by addressing the threats that come from within starts the conversation. A podcast focused on caring and improving the lives for those that give of themselves when there is nothing left to give. Although the program is primarily centered around the first responder, the life lessons and struggles are universal in nature. The program addresses and looks to improve the lives of first responders by addressing our personal, professional, financial, physical and mental health. Historically difficult conversations to have are normalized and stigmas associated with asking for help are removed.

Kristofor Healey / The Indispensable Man / Former DHS / Extreme Athlete
Another amazing guest, this week I sit down with former DHS Agent, Extreme Athlete, Author, Podcast Host, and Motivational Speaker, Kristofer Healey. Kristofor and I sit down and discuss life, its trails, tribulations, and how we can become a better version of ourselves simply by looking back to the stoics of history . What we can learn from the past and how we can apply it in our everyday lives, to lead a self led life of empowerment and gratitude. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation, I know you will walk away better for hearing it. Sit back, grab a note pad and give it a listen, so many great takeaways. Until next week take care of yourself and each other, God Bless, John
Additional Information on Kristofor:
Kristofor Healey is a former DHS Special Agent who spent more than 15 years in federal law enforcement directing large scale, multi-defendant fraud and public corruption investigations domestically and overseas. In addition to spending a decade on the border fighting cartel crime and corruption, his job brought him around the globe, spanning close to 20 countries. In his career, he investigated and arrested hundreds of dangerous criminals, returned thousands of MS-13 gang members to Central America, extradited a criminal kingpin from Singapore, helped put dozens of dirty cops behind bars and blew the whistle on corruption in his own office, which ended in his own Special Agent in Charge going to federal prison.
For the last nine years of his career, Healey led a multi-agency investigation that resulted in the indictment of 56 persons and five entities in a $300 million dollar money laundering and wire fraud conspiracy – the largest tele-fraud case in U.S. history – with 25 subjects sentenced to a cumulative 211 years in prison for their roles in the scam to date. The investigation, known as Operation Outsource, was the subject of the 2022 top ten serial podcast Chameleon: Scam Likely that chronicled his team’s identification, arrest, and extradition of the kingpin behind the IRS impersonation scam.
Healey is now a public speaker, author of two books,Indispensable: A Tactical Plan for the Modern Man and the upcoming In Valor: 365 Stoic Meditations for First Responders, and is the host of The Indispensable Man podcast where he uses his experiences in law enforcement and endurance racing to teach lessons on leadership and overcoming adversity.

More from Paige,
Hi everyone! I am so happy you are here and have become a part of my network! A little bio about who I am and how I got here...
My name is Paige Arnone (ar-NO-knee), I'm the Founder of Firstgevity, a virtual wellness course that is designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional longevity for first responders.
My journey began with years a trauma during childhood that left me with debilitating anxiety and severe panic attacks. I tried various treatments, but nothing seemed to work until I discovered yoga.
Yoga gave me the tools to process my traumas and live a more calm and controlled life. It has become my life mission to give back to those who protect us every day by sharing the benefits of yoga with those who need it the most, first responders.
With years of experience working directly with first responders, I developed Firstgevity, a yoga program specifically designed to promote stress reduction, increased mobility, and injury prevention.
It's about building a solid and healthy physical and mental foundation so you can enjoy life now and for years to come.

Eric Hofestein/ Retired Leo / Author / What Doesn't Kill You, One Cop's Perspective on Homelessness, Mental Illness, and Addiction
This week I was fortunate enough to sit down with Eric Hofestein, the brother of a former co-worker of mine, Adam. Eric spent the majority of his career out in Cali, and unfortunately had the typical career of seeing much death and despair, sometimes reaching too close for comfort. Wanting a change of pace and exposure, Eric transferred to the San Francisco Bay area Transit Police Department. This change in assignment gave Eric a front row seat into the lives of the homeless, mentally ill, and addicted. Eric and I discuss the problems of the aforementioned but more importantly the solutions that he developed to address this problem that is only getting worse. Sit back and give this episode a listen and come a way with a different perspective on the people in this community that we have thrown away. Until next week, take care of yourself and each other, God Bless, John

More Info on Eric:
I retired as a police officer/deputy sheriff with 27 years of laws enforcement experience in bay area of Northern California, after working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Santa Cruz California.
After surviving several close calls with death during my career, I witnessed the death of a CHP officer on a freeway in my jurisdiction. Traditional patrol work lost its appeal to me after this incident, and I transferred to the San Francisco Bay Area Transit Police Department to wind down my career for retirement in transit policing.
Working in San Francisco exposed me to a world of homelessness, mental illness, and addiction in a way I had never seen before. There were over 8,000 homeless crammed into 49 square miles of the iconic city by the bay. Many of them traversing the city and adjacent regions via the BART trains exposing me to the subculture of life on the streets and the effects of addiction in a major city and its transit systems.
In my outreach work on and off duty I met many lost souls languishing, suffering, seeking connection to their lost humanity as I struggled to mitigate their conditions. Now in retirement I want to give a voice to the voiceless in the hope of appealing to others to also take up the mantle of outreach work and generate realistic constructive dialogue to address these issues.
This book is meant to speak to the power of a spirituality that binds us all as a social species. We have an inherent obligation to help others following our moral compass with compassion and empathy to help others, and if we can't help them, at least "see them." That request came from many of the people I helped who want the world to know at least that one thing, see them.

Patrick Fitzgibbons / How We Keep From Killing Ourselves (And Doing Other Stupid Shit)
This week I sit down with a friend, Pat Fitzgibbons. Pat is a retired Leo, Army veteran, author, podcast host, and national liaison for The FHE Shatterproof first responder only treatment program conducted out of Deerfield Beach Fl. Pat and I had the conversation that most of you won't. My buddy killed himself Tuesday, August 15th, after a series of really tough life events. It was years in the making and myself along with an entire cast of friends and buddies, some much closer to him than I, did our best to keep him here one more day. With every phone call, we as a group, were able to reframe the situation with him and provide a path forward. I thought, like most of us, that the worst was behind us, a son in college, the hope of a new relationship around the corner, we collectively believed he had the tools needed to keep fighting. We were wrong. How we live our life matters, the decisions we make, both the good and the bad have a ripple effect that is far reaching. Start making better life decisions, and know that you are loved, until next week, take care of yourself and each other. God Bless, and RIP TC.

Angela Porter / Author / Intentional Solitude / Living Life Head On
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Angela Porter, author, adventurer, and self healer. Angela found that one of the keys to her self-improvement required her to go out into the wilderness and experience by herself all that nature has to offer. Tackling outdoor adventures, learning from her experiences, celebrating both the failures and successes, she is on a journey of self discovery that few will ever have the courage to take. Sit back and give this episode a listen and when you're done, do some research, pack a bag, and go on a hike, you'll thank her for it. Until next week, take care of yourself and each other, God Bless, John
