097: The Making of Gilly Brew Bar in Stone Mountain, GA with Daniel Brown
Daniel Brown is the owner of Gilly Brew Bar in Stone Mountain, GA, with a second location opening soon in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood of Atlanta.
If you’ve heard of Gilly, there’s a chance you might think of it as "that coffee shop in the Mayor’s House in Stone Mountain, GA."
But as Daniel explains in this video, Gilly is not a coffee shop.
Today, you’re going to hear Daniel talk about:
How he came to own The Mayor's House, built by slaves for the first mayor of Stone Mountain Andrew Johnson
Where the name Gilly comes from
How Gilly is actually helping reshape Stone Mountain's negative (racist) reputation
The creative vision behind Gilly’s signature seasonal collections
How he uses social content to spread positivity, light, and generate community

096: How to Get Media Attention for Your Business with Keiona Eady, The Authentic Messenger [Content PRO Series]
In public relations, no day in the life is ever the same. Keiona Eady, PR entrepreneur, and founder of The Authentic Messenger takes us behind her public relations career and shares amazing PR info like:
- what public relations is
- how to promote your small business locally
- how to promote your small business on social media
- how to pull out your brand story
- whether to invest in a PR manager
DOWNLOAD your free BRAND STORY GUIDE here: https://www.theauthenticmessenger.com/lazimillennial
To set the record straight- Keiona’ Eady’s journey to PR begins with a mud pie story that she has been sharing since the 90s. A Cross, South Carolina native, and Clemson University Business graduate, over the last decade she’s worked for top industry companies in the paint, tire, and education industries. While building success in those roles and traveling across the US, she knew there was a more purposeful way she could live her life.
On nothing short of a prayer and lots of Google searches, in 2016, the New Geechee podcast was created for young melanated professionals, now with more than 75 episodes and 40K+ downloads. And even with that achievement, she knew there was more purpose to be discovered- and in 2018 became who we know as The Authentic Messenger- a PR and Marketing strategist who helps entrepreneurs, nonprofits and small businesses do what she did- go from the bottom to brilliance by discovering their confidence and clarity and move towards opportunity and visibility.
Now a proud 30 year old who loves music just as much as she loves helping others, she's aligned towards making real change in the PR and Marketing space by delivering black brilliance.

094: Is 6-Figure Blogging Legit? An Online Business Conversation with Paul Scrivens of Odd Noodle and Blog Simple Framework [Content PRO Series]
We are still in the midst of the Content Pro series which is why I am SO excited to welcome today’s guest to the show.
This is actually an unplanned interview and ended up being one of my favorites to date for a few reasons:
Paul Scrivens aka Scrivs is my blogging coach. I joined his program when it was called Billionaire Blog Club, then Dare to Conquer, now Odd Noodle. And I’ve been a student of his as he's transitioned from focusing on making money blogging to building an online business using a blog as a tool.
One of the reasons people love Odd Noodle and Blog Simple Framework so much is because of the tough love, the humor, and the continuous learning environment, all of which you get a taste of in this episode.
Lastly, I’m excited because I got to talk to him more about a free, 10-day event that he’s producing, starting Saturday August 1, 2020. It’s called the Odd Noodle Business Odyssey and it's a FREE event where you basically get the information and insight you need to answer the question: Can I Start an Online Business?
Sign up for the Odd Noodle Odyssey here.
