About the band and the song

The Brathanki band has existed since 1998, but it was most successful at the beginning of the 21st century, when Halinka Mlynkova joined the band. Poles loved this talented and beautiful Czech woman. Her cooperation with Brathanki did not last long (the artist is currently performing solo), but was fruitful and spectacular.
It was a time of music in Poland looking for roots (Golec uOrkiestra, Kayah&Bregović); the Brathanki mixed pop with rock for a folk note. The Polish people liked it madly.
The song "W kinie, w Lublinie" (2000) is a dynamic, decisive and energetic piece, whose text is based on a simple idea. It is an enumeration of firm requests for (po)darling, and an ideal opportunity for Polish learners to grind the locativ.
