Excellent resource
I recommend also especially getting their online $1 promotion (30-day trial), in which you get an in-depth pronunciation guide — a lifesaver — among other things. Great resource!
Terrible teaching
If you try to use this podcast to learn Russian from scratch, you’ll quit immediately. They bombard the learner with waaaay too much information, speak way too fast, cover complicated material at inappropriate times, and don’t utilize language learning techniques. For example, in the “Absolute beginner Russian episode” they throw verb conjugations, noun gender, person gender, and a lot of vocab at you in 15mins. It’s bananas. Listen to Russian Made Easy instead and you’ll see the difference.
