Learning More about Coping with Grief with Alison Pena

Learning More about Coping with Grief with Alison Pena

This podcast explores the difficult topic of coping with grief. Losing a loved one can be one of the most challenging experiences in life, and the process of grieving can be overwhelming and confusing. In this episode, I speak with Alison Pena who lost her husband, David Beynon Pena to Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences in life. Grief is a process that can't be rushed, so it's crucial to take the time you need to move through it on your own timeline. Remember, it's okay to feel sadness, anger, and confusion during this time.

While the death of a loved one is a common type of loss, other types of losses like a pandemic, business failure, job loss, divorce, death of a pet, damaged relationships in your circle, your own illness, or even aging can also cause feelings of grief. You should allow yourself to grieve these losses and seek support if you need it. By taking these steps, you can begin to take back your life after loss and find hope for your future.
